“Get out of the box, color your life to make it powerful and intense”
Born in 1967, Frédéric Chevalier has since lived between the southwest of France and Miami. He travels around the world, by passion but also for many years, to fulfill his professional obligations within large international groups.
From one Atlantic coast to the other, the ocean has been an essential element for his balance and has been so since his childhood. He still recharges his batteries there through surfing and sailing and inspires his daily life. From there is born the passion for photography and image.
As a teenager he was passionate about drawing, but gave up on going to design school to take the "wiser" path of a business school. This led him very quickly to general management positions, then to chairman within an international company for 20 years.

It is in 2023 that Frédéric Chevalier decides to release his buried artistic emotions, to listen to his heart and to be “finally” himself: he leaves the framework that he had imposed on himself.
Inspired by this quote from Marc Twain "They didn't know it was impossible, so they did it", driven by unexpected and inspiring encounters, he made the decision to leave his successful career as a businessman to live his passion and share through photography his vision of the world, namely a colorful and intense approach.

This will and this energy animate his photos, his art, with a strong use of contrast and saturation, like his colorful career.

His vision and approach:
“Taking photos brings me joy and a feeling of limitless possibilities, and it is this emotion that I try to share. There is optimism and beauty in everything we see, if we look at it through the right prism. I try to bring out another look in the simple moments of life and to tactfully highlight the simplicity and beauty of what can be trivial in our daily lives, bringing it to life through color.
Through an offbeat approach to what surrounds me and this color palette, I seek to express the clarity and fluidity of a world that we no longer see. »

Inspiration:

“If the languid and minimalist side of Edgard Hopper are my primary source of inspiration, the powerful messages of Shepard Fairey and the poetry and emotion of Jef Aérosol are also very present in my approach.
I take all my photos while listening to music, whose style blues, rock, jazz or classical changes according to my state of mind on the day, which influences the rhythm felt in my photos.»
